Perverse Sunglasses Closed on Larchmont

Perverse Sunglasses has closed its Larchmont boutique at 143 N. Larchmont Blvd.

A few weeks ago we noticed that Perverse Sunglasses has emptied its shelves and locked the doors.

“This is a decision our CEO has made.  We are available online should you want to continue purchasing our items,” was the response we got from the company when we inquired why the store had closed. Naturally, we had follow up questions, but we haven’t heard back from the company.

According to the company website, the company is now rebranded as Thomas James LA.

“We have morphed and reborn as Thomas James LA. Your new favorite lifestyle brand focusing on sunglasses,” announced the website.

Perverse was founded by self-made entrepreneur Toni Ko who lives locally in Fremont Place. Ko founded the company in 2016 after she sold NYX Cosmetics in 2014 to L’Oréal Cosmetics according to a profile in Inc. Magazine.
