walktoschooldaylogoWho says no one walks to school any more?  They definitely do…especially on  Walk to School Day, a national event that aims to “change community culture and to create options for getting around that are more inviting for everyone, both young and old.”  Schools around the country participated yesterday and today, October 7 and 8, 2015.  Among them was our local St. Brendan’s School, which organized a “walking school bus,” to escort students from 1st and Larchmont to their school campus at 238 S. Manhattan Pl.  (This was St. Brendan’s 6th annual Walk to School Day event.) After a spectacular sunrise, with clear, cool weather and gorgeous skies, it was a great morning for a walk.
