Staff of Sweetfin Poké are getting ready for Monday’s opening.

We met Sweetfin Poké owner Seth Cohen this morning outside his newest take-out restaurant at 135 N Larchmont Blvd. Cohen and his staff are busy getting ready for the official opening on Monday, November 14.  The take-out restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, offering a more accessible version of sushi, inspired by Hawaiian Poké.

“Everything comes in a bowl,” said Cohen as he showed us around the bright new space filled with light, telling us about the very cool tables in front that were made in downtown LA by a woman furniture maker, Janine Stone of If you Give a Girl a Saw, and the beautiful ceramic light fixtures, also made by a local artist, that miraculously survived a studio fire.

Cohen, an area resident who can walk to work,  is thrilled to be on Larchmont, where he said he’s been coming since he was a child.  He and his two business partners have been trying to open on Larchmont for several years. Despite some delays with construction, Cohen is very happy to be opening on Monday.
