Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council Land Use Committee August meeting

Correction: This story was updated to correct the date of the GWNC Transportation Committee meeting. The meeting is Monday, October 15.

If you are feeling civically-minded, and we hope you are, there are several neighborhood meetings and events coming up that we thought we’d point out in case you want to attend.

This week, the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council’s Land Use Committee is meeting tomorrow evening at 6:30 pm at Marlborough School at 250 N Rossmore. There are a number of issues on the agenda including: the small lot subdivision proposed at 250 S Wilton Place; a proposal for a 7- Eleven convenience store at 5784 Melrose Ave. and further discussion on a large TOC development planned for 3323 W. Olympic Blvd. & 975-987 S. Manhattan Pl..

Next week, the GWNC Transportation Committee is meeting on Monday, October 15th at 7pm also at Marlborough School. And the GWNC Outreach Committee planned a meeting for Saturday, October 6 at 9 am at Bricks & Scones Cafe at 403 N. Larchmont Blvd.

The Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society Homes Tour is Sunday, October 14 featuring six home on Lucerne Blvd. Proceeds from the tour support beautification projects in the neighborhood. For more information, visit the WSHP Historical Society website.

Tuesday, October 16 is the Hancock Park Homeowners Association ’48 Annual Meeting at 7 pm at Third Street Elementary School. CD Council Member David Ryu is listed on the agenda and his Senior Planner Emma Howard. Discussion items will include street repairs, parkway trees and security.
