Burglary in Windsor Village

LAPD1

Windsor Village Association Board Member Julie Stromberg reports there was a burglary on Thursday, August 20, on the 800 block of S. Windsor Blvd.

The crime occurred in the middle of the day when the resident was home. The resident recalled a knock at the front door, but dismissed it. The burglar, an African American female, entered through a back sliding door. The resident had left the door ajar because it was hot. The burglar had a bag and grabbed some items, mainly jewelry. The resident made contact with the burglar and grabbed her by the arm, to hold her while yelling for someone to call the police. The burglar dropped the bag, but then an African American man entered, grabbed the bag…and both suspects fled south along Windsor, then down Victoria, toward Olympic Blvd. They escaped in a silver Volkswagen Jetta, circa 2009.
