On February 21, 2016, Windsor Village resident Vickie Bascoy was honored at a luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire hotel for her more than 10 years of tireless community service. Â City Council Member David Ryu presented Bascoy with a Certificate of Recognition, and her Our Lady of Mt. Lebanon/St. Peter’s Cathedral parish also presented an award. Other city and federal officials, as well as a number of Windsor Village residents, attended the festive event.
Bascoy, a Realtor with Coldwell-Banker Larchmont Village North, currently serves as a Neighborhood Advocate and Community Organizer for Windsor Village Concerned Citizens, and is one of the founding members of the Windsor Village Historic Preservation Committee. Â
WVCC leader Ros Strotz calls Bascoy, “one of Windsor Village’s long time champions” and says “what she believes, she puts into action.” Â According to Strotz, Bascoy’s “exemplary works of charity and community leadership have extended from helping the less fortunate in Los Angeles to sponsoring and spear-heading various projects for the betterment of her neighborhood.” Â “She is a deserving neighbor,” says Strotz.
