If you’re a pie lover like me, the news that KCRW will host its fourth annual Good Food Pie Contest in the Hancock Park area next Saturday is big news. Are you a pie maker? Register to show off and share your creation, judged by a panel of famous foodies. Pie eater? Make your way to the Los Angeles County Museum (LACMA) early enough to get a tasting ticket. This year’ s bake-off theme is inspired by Chris Burden’s kinetic, futuristic sculpture Metropolis II.
The event is co- sponsored by KCRW which will provide DJ-hosted music, Good Food and LACMA. Wear your apron to LACMA and get free admission to all the galleries all day.
Hancock Park | Saturday, September 8 | 2–4 pm | Tickets required for submitting pies and pie tasting | To enter your pie, visit KCRW and register as a contestant and pay the registration fee | For pie tasting, visit the KCRW welcome table at LACMA in Hancock Park just north of the Ahmanson Building to obtain one free pie-tasting ticket | Tickets are limited based on the number of entries and will be given to guests on a first come, first served basis | Separate general admission ticket required to enter galleries.
