DIY Firecracker Cake Toppers for the Fourth of July

Firecracker Cake Toppers

If you’re hosting a Fourth of July party, I’ve got a fun way to add some red, white and blue to your dessert selections today! These DIY firecracker cake toppers are super simple to make and are so festive and fitting for Independence Day.

You’ll need just a few items: paper or cardstock (blue and striped), silver mylar (you can get this at Target or a party store), double stick tape and toothpicks or lollipop sticks.  For the full DIY instructions head over to Studio DIY.

As an added bonus, my friend Jennie who runs a yummy food blog, Garlic, My Soul, made these star shaped inside out cupcakes that pair perfectly with the toppers. You can head here to get the recipe for these delicious bites!

You could even make a bigger version of both the cakes and the topper for a real show stopper! Happy Fourth!
