It’s being reported that a new restaurant is coming to the space currently occupied by Campanile on La Brea. Sadly, it looks like Campanile won’t be there a lot longer…
The restaurant, a neighborhood friend and favorite, has thrived for 23 years. Â They were most recently present at the National Night Out on Larchmont serving their delicious grilled cheese paninis and lemonade in support of the LAPD Wilshire Division. It looks like it’s a good time to return the favor and support Mark Peel and his crew at Campanile in the period before the restaurant closes…

They haven’t “thrived” in years. They were good 20 years ago, but irrelevant – and frankly, bad – the last 10 years. I say good riddance. I’d love to see something current, like a westside version of Bottega Louie, that has something for everyone – not just a meat-centric Church and State kind of place.
Jimbo, you are not a kind person and totally off. My family has been enjoying Campanile for years and we only found them 6 years ago. I love that your “relevant” idea is a rehash from downtown with a decibel level that could wake the dead. I am going to miss Campanile and the kind staff very much.
