The Buzz Street Beat found Officer Joseph Pelayo, Senior Lead Officer for the Larchmont area of the Olympic Division, at an LAPD Mobile Command Unit parked temporarily at the Robert Burns Park on Van Ness Ave on Thursday.
Pelayo reached out to park goers and residents who stopped by to engage them in conversation about their safety concerns. He also offered a table full of donuts which had many of the local kids smiling broadly as they sampled the goods.
The Buzz will feature photos of other SLOs of the greater Hancock Park area in coming weeks so readers can get to know the faces of the men in blue who protect and serve our communities.
