10K Run on Melrose to Benefit ‘She Runs LA’

Break out your 80’s neon running gear and join others for a 10K run April 14th, starting and ending at the Paramount Lot. 

On Saturday, April 14th, approximately 3,000 runners will participate in the Nike She Runs LA 10K (6.2 miles). Proceeds benefit Students Run LA; their mission is to challenge at-risk secondary students to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved health by providing them with a truly life-changing experience through running.  If you are interested in participating, please visit the Nike She Runs LA website. and learn more about this year’s theme: “Welcome to the 80s: Grow Out Your Mullets and Bust Out Your Neon.”

The run starts at 10:00 am at Paramount Studios, and will proceed Westbound on Melrose Avenue to Harper.  At Harper, runners will turn around and return to Paramount Studios where a post-event bash will take place.  Please note the following street and intersections closures.

STREET CLOSURE (6 am-12 pm)

  • Melrose Ave. from Wilton to Orlando Ave.

MELROSE INTERSECTIONS CLOSED (9 am-12 pm)

  • Crescent Heights
  • Fairfax Blvd.
  • Gardner
  • La Brea Blvd.
  • Highland
  • Vine
