Big Sale at Yarn Bombing LA this Saturday

YBLA-Sale

Attention all you knitting and crochet fiends! Yarn Bombing LA is having a giant skein sale this Saturday at the Craft and Folk Art Museum on Wilshire, from 12 noon to 5 pm. All yarn must go – and supplies and skeins of the soft stuff will be on sale for as little as $1, with all proceeds going to the YBLA’s work in “making the world a fuzzier place.”

CAFAM-YARNYou may have seen YBLA projects on street posts or trash cans around Los Angeles. Their largest project covered the entire front facade of the Craft and Folk Art Museum on Wilshire with home-made granny squares as described in our earlier Buzz story.

Yarn Bombing LA blends and reinterprets different artistic genres of street art, public art, fiber art, social practice, craft, and high art that is tactile and accessible, while at the same time initiating dialogue about cross-generation connections and craft history.
