Candidate Forum Tonight for Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council Election

gwnc625x245

The Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council will be holding a Candidate Forum tonight, Tuesday March 18th, to introduce the candidates for the 21 board seats to the public. These candidates either live, work or own property in each of the 15 districts within GWNC, and those elected will represent each of our local communities on the GWNC.

If you live or work in the Greater Wilshire area you are encouraged to come meet the candidates and hear their positions on community issues and the reasons why they should be elected to the Neighborhood Council Board. The GWNC has candidate photos and statements online this year at EmpowerLA.org if you want to do a bit of research beforehand (though it may not be clear to all which “geographic area” you belong to from this page.)

The forum will be held at the Wilshire United Methodist Church, 4350 Wilshire Blvd  (SW corner of Wilshire and Plymouth) at 6:30 pm.  Free parking is available in the lot on the west side of the church (enter from Wilshire Blvd.).

The GWNC Election Day is set for Sunday March 30th at John Burroughs Middle School, from 12-4 pm. The Council is looking for election volunteers to help out on that day, if you’re interested in sharing your time for this event please fill out the simple online form to get started.
