CD 4 Candidates Face Off in First Debate

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee is sponsoring a debate of some of the top contenders for Council District 4 seat on the LA City Council, on Tuesday, Dec. 9th,  5-7 pm at the Arena, 6655 Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood.

Six of the CD4 candidates for Councilman LaBonge’s seat have been invited to the debate and are expected to attend. They include Teddy Davis, Attorney/Educator; Wally Knox, Attorney; Joan Pelico, Chief of Staff to Councilman Paul Koretz; Carolyn Ramsay, Chief of Staff to Councilman Tom LaBonge; David Ryu, Community Health Director; and Steve Veres, Trustee of LA Community College.

Councilman LaBonge, who represents the greater Wilshire/Hancock Park area, parts of Hollywood and Los Feliz, and sections of the Valley including Sherman Oaks, will term out in June of 2015. The primary election will be take place March 3rd, with the runoff set for May 19, 2015.

The event is free, but registration is required due to limited seating, at Hollywood Chamber.

Should you not be able to attend the Hollywood event, the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council (GWNC) will be hosting a debate locally in early 2015. More details to follow.
