Costume Ball at LACMA for those in the Halloween Mood

MuseCostumeBall

Enjoy dressing up for Halloween, but wish you had a better place to show off your costume? LACMA’s Muse Costume Ball, Saturday Oct. 26th, may be the venue you’ve been waiting for. The museum’s MUSE program draws the younger crowd who make LACMA part of their social calendar by joining in late-night music, art and events on the museum campus.

The night includes a performance by Australian band Clairy Browne and the Bangin’ Rackettes  (video below) with their distinctly retro style and R&B soul sound that takes you back to the early 60s. Tickets sell for $60-100 depending on your LACMA membership status.

8 pm | Red carpet entrances.

9 pm | Clairy Browne and the Bangin’ Rackettes perform live in front of Urban Light.

10 pm | Costume Contest: Best Black-and-White Costume, Best Classic-Movie Monster, and Best Ghost of Hollywood Past.

10:30 pm | Haunted after-party in the galleries with live horror installation by Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre and rapper DJ Theophilus London mixing music until 1 am.
