School Board Member George McKenna to Speak at LA High School Town Hall Wednesday Evening

Dr. George McKenna, Los Angeles Unified School District Board member, will take questions from community members, teachers, students and parents at the Los Angeles High School Public Education Town Hall Meeting Wednesday evening on campus in Memorial Hall from 6:30-9:00 pm.

LA High School Principal Dr. Helena Yoon-Fontamillas will introduce her staff and LAUSD staff attending the event and present an overview of the school’s successes and challenges.  Joyce Kleifield, Executive Director of the Harrison Trust, a historic private partnership set up by former student Alice G. Harrison in 1960 to support the city’s first high school, and Curtis Clark, LAHS Community Representative will talk about how the community can partner with the school for the betterment of both.

Refreshments made by the LA High School Culinary Classes will be served from 6:30 – 7 pm in the Alumni Court.
