The Westside Jewish Community Center is holding their annual Tu B’Shevat Festival – the Celebration of the Trees! All are welcome to attend this great family event, hosted by the Westside JCC preschool families. Families with younger kids (under 7) will really enjoy an afternoon full of games, pony rides, face painting, a bake sale, silent auction, petting zoo, bounce house and lots of fun.
This year, event organizers have partnered with Councilmember Tom LaBonge to bring in the City Plants project. Free trees will provide on a first come, first served basis. If you are a resident of the City of Los Angeles, you are eligible to adopt a tree and plant it on private property. You must bring proof of residence (photo ID with an LA City address or a DWP bill) to the adoption event.
Both fruit and shade trees should be available.
The Westside JCC has been an integral part of our community for over 60 years. This sounds like a great opportunity to visit their Olympic facility.
