Looking for fireworks on July Fourth this year? We’ve got a list here of those closest to the greater Hancock Park area.

Wilshire Country Club: While the annual fireworks show above the golf course at Wilshire CC is for members only, Hancock Park area residents often find a front lawn or curb on a nearby side street to sit and enjoy the short and sweet show. You may not have a big crowd to ooh and aah with, but the convenience of not having to drive far makes this a great option. The Wilshire Country Club is located on the corner of Beverly and Rossmore.

Grand Park Block Party: Our newest city park – Grand Park in downtown LA – has really stepped up to the plate to offer entertainment and family options for Angelenos. On Thursday the Grand Park Block Party will begin at 2 pm with live and DJ music, a poetry slam, “picnicking and splashing”, food trucks and of course a fireworks display after sundown. Grand Park offers suggestions for transportation and encourages people to bring picnics and puppies, but no grilling allowed on site. Located at 200 N. Grand Ave.

Hollywood Bowl: This year’s Fourth at the Bowl features singer songwriter Josh Groban and the LA Philharmonic.  The show will be followed by the Bowl’s fireworks display which is always stunning, set against the Bowl amphitheater, the Hollywood Hills and patriotic music by the Phil.  Tickets for the night are currently currently sold out but you can check the Bowl website for cancelled tickets, which range from $15-225/ seat. 2301 N Highland Ave as they often become available.

Marina del Rey: A bit further afield but offering a fine water reflection, the Marina del Rey extravaganza will begin at 9 pm over the Marina’s main channel. They can be e from Burton Chance Park at 13650 Mindanao Way, or from Fisherman’s Village at 13755 Fiji Way. The pyrotechnic show will have accompanied music on KXLU 88.9FM and is produced by the Department of Beach and Harbors where further information and updates are available.
