Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council: Agenda for Wednesday Board Meeting

Perhaps you’ve decided to get more involved in your local community in 2014? A great place to start is the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council (GWNC) and their regular Board Meetings that take place on the second Wednesday of every month.  Through a network of 95 Neighborhood Councils, the City of Los Angeles promotes public participation in government to improve government responsiveness to local concerns.

This Wednesday, the GWNC will hold its first Board Meeting of the year. The agenda is posted online, at the GWNC Website. Some of the highlights of the meeting include:

2014 Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council Elections take place on Sunday, March 30th. Interested candidates should review candidate guidelines and file as a candidate prior to February 15th.

PUBLIC Comment: The public is requested to fill out a Speaker Card to address the Board on any item on the agenda. Comments from the public on the agenda items will be heard only when that item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters, not appearing on the agenda but within the Board’s subject matter jurisdiction, will be heard during the Community Concerns and Public Comment periods. Public comment is limited to two (2) minutes per speaker, unless waived by the presiding officer of the Board.
