Larchmont Village Holiday Open House this Sunday

Santa strolling Larchmont Boulevard last year.
Santa on Larchmont Boulevard last year – he arrived by firetruck and sat in the bank. This year he will be moving about on the street – giving Larchmont visitors many photo and interactive opportunities.

The annual Larchmont Boulevard Holiday Open House is this Sunday, Dec. 7th from noon to 5 pm on the boulevard, spanning both North Larchmont (Beverly to Melrose) and Beverly to 1st Street.

This year Santa will visit revelers up and down the street, giving youngsters an opportunity to interact with St. Nick without waiting in line at a shopping center, and giving parents the chance to snap some natural photos with the jolly old fellow.Carolers, school choirs and performers will meander through the village, from 1st Street north to Melrose Ave., adding some holiday music and cheer to the setting.

Some stores are expected to offer treats and refreshments: Hans Optik will be serving up traditional “stollen” ( a type of Christmas cake) in addition to 10% off on purchases.

1 pm – 3 pm Santa will stroll the boulevard.

12:30 pm – 2 pm Larchmont Charter Junior High Chorus

1:30 pm – 3 pm Christ the King Choir

2 pm – 3:30 pm – The Village Carolers

2:45 pm – 4:15 pm The Burgos Family Musicians

Larchmont Village vendors are expected to have their holiday windows decorated, part of a contest sponsored by the Larchmont Village Business Improvement District (BID), the Larchmont Buzz and the Larchmont Chronicle. The winner will be announced on December 15, 2014.

The Holiday Open House is a great time to see your neighbors and friends, catch a photo with Santa, and support our neighborhood businesses that make up Larchmont Village. Shop local!

Sponsored by the Larchmont Boulevard Association.
