One of Larchmont’s best kept secrets is the Stephanie Feury Studio Theater on the south east corner of Larchmont Boulevard and Melrose Avenue. Feury teaches acting lessons using method techniques, where the student creates in themselves the thoughts and feelings of their characters, so as to develop lifelike performances.  Part of the tradition behind the SF Studio Theater is to provide artists of all mediums a forum for study, workshop, production and performance.
This week, a new play will open in the SF Studio Theater – above the Art Studio on the corner. The West Coast Premier of ‘How I Fell in Love’ opens on October 17 and runs through November 16.
According to the Broadway.com website:
Collaborative Artists Ensemble presents the West Coast Premiere of HOW I FELL IN LOVE by Joel Fields, the producer/writer of the immensely popular and critically acclaimed television series “The Americans”. The production is directed by Steve Jarrard by special arrangement with the author. Featured in the cast are Austin Iredale, Desiré Noël, Casey Sullivan and Meg Wallace.
You can read more about the play here on Broadway.com. It should make for a nice night out…dinner at one of our great restaurants on Larchmont or Melrose and then the theater…maybe even within walking distance.
