Councilman Tom LaBonge will be hosting the 2nd Miracle Mile Fun Run. This one-mile run will take place on Saturday December 6, along Wilshire Boulevard.

Runners can take advantage of this opportunity to run down the middle of Wilshire Boulevard, one of the most famous streets in Los Angeles. This stretch between Highland Avenue and Fairfax Avenue will undergo a lot of change in the coming years…construction projects include:

  • Purple Line Extension underneath Wilshire
  • Metro Stations at Fairfax/Wilshire and La Brea/Wilshire
  • Peterson Museum (currently closed for renovations)
  • Academy Museum
  • LACMA project
  • Amherst Tower (behind Dominguez-Wilshire building)
  • The Desmond
  • The Mansfield

The run is free and all ages are welcome.

Check-in will start at 6:30am and the race will start at 7:30am. The starting point is Wilshire and Orange Drive.

Wilshire Boulevard will be closed to cars between Highland Avenue and Fairfax Avenue from 6:00am until 9am. North/South traffic will be open on both Fairfax Avenue and Highland Avenue. Organizers expect to have Wilshire Boulevard reopened before 9:00am.
