The first Miracle Mile Patriotic Parade is planned for Monday, June 29 to honor the spirit of cooperation and patriotism in the Miracle Mile, a “Pocket Full of Miracles.” The parade will start at 12pm  at The Grove and travel east to west down Main Street to the Original Farmers Market for lemonade, cookies and fun to usher in the 4th of July holiday.

“We’re celebrating how community businesses, museums and the first responders can join together.  It’s an uplifting patriotic event at a venue that is beautiful, safe and fun, down a very “All American Main Street,” said Lyn Cohen,  Founding President, First-In Fire Foundation and President & Founder, Miracle Mile Civic Coalition.

“Shotgun” Tom Kelly (K-EARTH 1010) will be Grand Marshall leading a parade of civic, cultural, resident, and government leaders, with firefighters, police officers, military, scouts and others to showcase the Museum row on the Miracle Mile and salute 30 years of public service by the Miracle Mile Civic Coalition,  honor first responders, celebrate the work of the First-In Fire Foundation, thank Councilmember Tom LaBonge, CD4 and welcome newly elected Councilmember, David Ryu, CD4.

The event committee co-chairs are Lyn MacEwen Cohen, Melody Kanschat, Tim Deegan, Randy Murphy and Steve Kramer, on behalf of the Miracle Mile Civic Coalition and the First-In Fire Foundation.
