National Night Out Promises Neighborhood Fun & Partnership with LAPD

2014-08-02

Come meet your neighbors Tuesday at the annual National Night Out event on Larchmont Boulevard. Similar events are held throughout the City and the USA to support the partnership between the Police and the Community.

Representatives of LAPD’s Wilshire Division, including Captain Eric Davis, will join Councilmember Tom LaBonge and other community leaders to enjoy food, refreshments, music and more. There will also be vintage LAPD patrol vehicles on display.

This event seems to get more popular each year because it’s a nice way to see friends and enjoy a summer night on the Boulevard. Hope to see you there!

Future Larchmont Boulevard ice cream shop Salt and Straw will bring their mobile ice cream truck and share a preview of their popular, farm-to-cone flavors at Larchmont’s National Night Out.  They will be on the Boulevard from 6pm-8pm with free samples of the following Salt and Straw favorites:

  • Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons
  • Stumptown Coffee with Compartes Love Nuts
  • Santa Ynez Valley Walnut Oil
  • Tomato Water Olive Oil Sherbet

The Salt and Straw Larchmont location will open at the beginning of September, so Tuesday’s preview will be a good chance to experience what already makes the Portland based company a Los Angeles favorite (according to LAist’s 2014 list of The Best Ice Cream in Los Angeles.)
