Ozomatli, the seven piece band that plays a variety of musical styles including jazz, salsa, reggae, rock and funk, is giving a special in-store performance tonight at Amoeba Records in Hollywood at 6 pm. Â The multi-cultural Grammy-winning band is releasing a new album “A Place in the Sun” and the lyric video below (learn those words!) of their upbeat song “Brighter” Â gives a great taste of their music.
If you’ve never been – the Amoeba performances are pretty casual gatherings where fans stand in the aisles and see the musicians on a small stage, up close. It’s one of the benefits of living in our area – Â having one of the last standing music stores right here in Hollywood, just up the road (Sunset at Ivar) from Hancock Park.
