The Grove Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday

The 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at The Grove takes place this Sunday, November 17. The evening includes a festive, Hollywood style program with live performances by Mary J. Blige, Cee Lo Green, Jewel, Gavin Degraw, Il Volo, Toni Braxton and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.

The Grove property is open to all…and it gets crowded! If you plan on attending, do arrive early and dress warmly as temperatures are expected to be in the 50s.

This is the official kick-off to the holidays at The Grove – and that means snow every night at 7 and 8 pm. There will be holiday entertainment and Santa in his cottage through Dec 24, with pet night every Tuesday through December 17.

Special notes:

  • Stores and most restaurants close at 4pm on Sunday, November 17. The following restaurants will be open regular hours: The Cheesecake Factory (reservations only), Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill, Maggiano’s Little Italy, The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge, Umami Burger and Morels French Steakhouse (reservations only).
  • Traffic in and around The Grove is expected to be dense in advance of the Tree Lighting program. Make note and head north to Melrose or south to Wilshire to avoid delays.
  • Fireworks will go off around 9:00pm. They always take people by surprise. Take special care with pets, especially dogs, to make sure they are secure as the loud noise can create anxiety and cause them to run away.
