Today is October 4th – 10-4 day to those in law enforcement (or those who have played law enforcement on TV). Councilmember Tom LaBonge will join officers from the California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Office to advocate for public safety at the annual 10-4 Day Parade to be held Friday, October 4, at 12 p.m. at the Los Angeles Fire Museum at 1327 North Cole Avenue.

A parade of vintage police cars will descend upon Hollywood Boulevard, with a brief stop at the Walk of Fame star of Broderick Crawford, who starred in the 1950s television show Highway Patrol.

“This is a great opportunity to recognize our public safety officers and all they do to protect and serve,” Councilmember LaBonge said.

Sounds like a lot of fun for a Friday afternoon with the kids!
