Ideas Worth Spreading – TEDxUSC Viewing Event Hosted by Loyola High School

If you are familiar with the TEDTalks videos on YouTube – and the events surrounding them – you’ve probably experienced the power of TED.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences — the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer — TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.

This week, USC is hosting their 5th annual TEDx  event and Loyola High School is hosting a viewing event in partnership with USC for those who can’t view it in person. The Tedx program gives communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently. On Friday, May 4th you can be a part of the experience.

The Loyola High School viewing event is open to all Loyola students, faculty, parents, alumni and the extended community of friends. Please visit the Loyola High School website to learn more about the details of the viewing party:
