Secrets to a Longer Life

St Barnabas Senior Services is hosting an evening of cocktails and “Lessons on Longevity” – part of a series to inform, enlighten and engage on the topic of aging. The event on Thursday, June 7th at 6pm will feature Dr. Nir Barzilai, Director of the Longevity Genes Project at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Nir Barzilai

Dr. Barzilai and his team conducted genetic research on more than 500 healthy elderly people between the ages of 95 and 122- and have identified the longevity gene in humans. The Einstein research could lead to new drug therapies that might help people live longer, healthier lives and avoid or significantly delay age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Space is limited, so reserve by Friday June 1st. Requested donation is $60 for one, $100 for two and includes wine and a substantial hors d’oeuvres reception, parking and the discussion.
