Wilshire Crest Elementary School – E -Waste Collection, Saturday April 21st

Wilshire Crest Elementary School (5241 W. Olympic Blvd./ NE corner of Olympic & Sycamore) will hold an e-waste collection today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in its east parking lot (enter from Olympic Blvd.) This is a great way to clean out your closets, houses, garages and offices (yes, businesses can donate, too!), help the environment and make money for a very deserving neighborhood school all at the same time!

Larchmont Charter School’s 9th Annual Garage-A-Rama, Saturday April 21st

Today: 8 am-2 pm! A 300-family family rummage sale on the Larchmont Charter School’s Hollygrove Campus, 815 N. El Centro Ave., LA 90038 (corner of Vine & Waring St.)

Spring Wing Ding at Hollywood Presbyterian Children’s Center today, Saturday April 21st

Part carnival, part food court, part silent auction…it’s open to all and it’s Saturday from 10am -1pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood on Gower between Hollywood Blvd and the 101. There’s a parking lot on the east side of the school. Bounce houses, Drumtime, and ice cream to satisfy the kids. Read more on their website.

Windsor Square and Hancock Park Historical Society present the Los Angeles Garden Tour, Sunday April 22nd

Event starts at Getty House, 605 S. Irving Boulevard Los Angeles 90005 at 12p. Tour leaders have some tips to make the day most pleasurable!

  • Valet Parking is provided for $10 which enables you in and out parking. You can take your car to see the gardens and come back to Getty House. Give valets your parking tickets and a second valet parking is included in the $10 price.
  • Your garden tour tickets are held at check-in and will include the addresses of the other six gardens on tour. They are in the same area, but you will need to drive.
  • We recommend that you wear a hat and flat shoes, sunscreen and have something to eat as food will not be provided until 4:30.
