Larchmont’s Café Gratitude: Mind-Blowing Pancakes says Eater LA

Café Gratitude makes Eater LA’s list of the best pancakes in the city.

Congratulations to Larchmont’s Café Gratitude for making Eater LA’s list of top pancake spots in the city.  Eater asked for recommendations for the best pancakes in the city to create its “22 Mind-Blowing Pancakes in Los Angeles” list in a “Breakfast Week” edition out this week.

Café Gratitude ranked number 7:

Given the encroaching presence of gluten-free items popping up on menus around town, it would be remiss to neglect one that actually doesn’t taste like cardboard. These buckwheat flax pancakes aren’t the typical fluffy variety – they’re textured with a little more bite. With a tasty cashew whipped cream topping, you won’t be missing the gluten.

Also, nearby, The Sycamore Kitchen on La Brea made the list at number 19:

It’s all about the buttermilk rye pancakes here, served with a healthy portion of salted butter. The rye adds a little more dimension to the standard pancake, but beware that breakfast is no longer served after 11:30 a.m. on Monday through Friday or after 12:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
