Wish you had your camera at the ready to catch some of the fab outfits people wear on the streets of LA?

Elise Montecastro of LA Weekly did, and posted the story LA Street Fasion: Larchmont Village, this week as part of a series exploring fashion around the city. Past stories showcased other fashion-forward types at the weekly Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax High School on Sundays (also in our neighborhood) and at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena.

The piece is a quick waltz through photos featuring young and edgy kids – the type who define trends for others to follow. The settings are familiar. There’s a real urban feel to most of this fashion, with an emphasis on black, hats and a certain retro 80’s feel to much of it. In fact, I may still have a few of those pieces hanging in the back of my closet I should pull out and put together for my next venture out on the boulevard…
