Buzz reader Tiffany Palm sent us a copy of a tract map selling original lots in Windsor Square on Windsor and Irving Boulevards advertised as “The Finest Bungalow Lots in Los Angeles.” Â The undated map shows lots already sold and the price of remaining lots, in the range of $3,000 – $6,000, with the larger-sized corner lot on Windsor and First going for a full $7,000.
The one-sheet, published by the C.C. Albright Company of 252 N. Western Ave., touts the development as being close to everything:
Palm told the Buzz that her friend Ron Gates found the map in an old house plan book that he bought in Ventura, CA. Â Gates, of Gates & Rodriguez Builders, collects vintage house plans, tract and development maps and other collectables having to do with old homes and development in Southern California.
If you click on the map below you’ll see the prices typed out clearly, and marvel at the change in value of these properties today.
Can anyone identify on which street the house above still sits today?
