Registration for Marlborough Summer School begins this Monday. March 3, 2014 with a wide range of new classes for students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. Many classes sell out quickly so it’s a good time this weekend to peruse the catalog and start planning.
Located in the heart of Hancock Park at 250 S. Rossmore Ave, the Marlborough campus is open for programming as early as 7 am and can keep your children busy until 5pm in the evening, making it an easy option for working parents. The summer school themes of Art, Smart and Heart means kids can get exercise, academic enrichment and artistic experience all in one place, either in full or half-day programs. Some classes are designated by grade, others by ability. Swimming classes for children age 1 and up are also offered.
Marlborough offers two sessions for summer 2014:
One Week Session: June 16-20 for families who would like to try the program but cannot commit to the full Five Week Session or for families who would like to enjoy a longer time at camp. Including the Marlborough Day Camp and a variety of art, science, and sports activities, the week allows students a taste of the full program without committing to the full five weeks. Choose from Morning, Afternoon, and Sports Camps.
Five Week Session: June 23-July 25 offers the full catalog of classes for students to build skills and explore new opportunities. Students in grades K and 1 will enroll in Camp Mustang in the morning, while students in grades 2 and above will build a schedule during the four morning periods.  Afternoon courses are also available.  Lunch is included for all students enrolling in an afternoon class.
