The new Hancock Park OSH had a soft opening early February and the spanking new 30,000 square foot ‘urban’ emporium is stocked full of things for apartment dwellers and homeowners alike: barbecues, patio furniture, tools, paint, cleaning supplies, kitchen gadgets, canning supplies, ladders, lighting and power tools.
The store features an outdoor garden center for soils and landscaping gear including shovels and tools, sprinklers and hoses. The plants look healthy and pumped with fertilizers, don’t expect to find many drought tolerant or native plants here.
Parking for the store, located at 415 S La Brea Ave, is on the roof, accessible from both La Brea and the alley that runs parallel to La Brea, behind the store, with accessibility to the store via several elevators.
Caroline Nichols, Manager of the new store, OSH # 751, told the Buzz the Grand Opening is March 1st – and the public should expect to see some great offerings and sales that day.
