LAPD and local neighborhood associations report the Knock Knock burglaries are still occurring in our area.
Yesterday evening, Monday June 11th, a home on the 500 block of North Beachwood (near Clinton) was burglarized sometime between 7:30 – 10:30 pm. The perpetrators are believed to have scoped out the front of the house and perceived no one was home. They then broke into the back of the home and entered, taking jewelry and valuables. Senior Lead Officer Joseph Pelayo of Olympic Division says the pattern of this is similar to the previous “Knock Knock” burglaries, although it happened later in the evening. “We typically haven’t seen the crime happening in the later evening as this one did,” Pelayo told the Buzz. “This is disturbing, as usually they wouldn’t take the risk of entering at night when people are more likely to be home.”
Pelayo confirmed that a special Task Force has been assigned in the Burglary sector of Olympic Division, and anyone with information should contact the Task Force at 213-382-9440
Other area crimes of late include:
June 5 – 300 block of  S Hudson Ave: attempted burglary at 1:30 pm – perps caught ‘in the act’ breaking into the rear entrance of a home and fled.
June 4 – 800 block of S Mullen Ave: attempted burglary at 2:30 pm
June 3 – 800 block of S Gramercy Pl: burglary at 10 am
May 31 – 200 block of S Lorraine Bl:Â Â burglary at 1:30 am
May 30 – 200 block of S Lorraine Bl:Â burglary at 4 pm
May 27 – 200 block of N Lorraine Bl:Â Â a duo scammed homeowner into believing they were with the DWP and needed to get into the back yard where they spoke with homeowner while the second fake utility rep stole from the home.

agreed. i live on the 500 block of n windsor blvd. my next door neighbors’ car was stolen this week and another neighbors’ car broken into last week. do not leave valuables in your cars. be safe.
