It seems like change is the operative word these days on Larchmont Boulevard. This week two new businesses have opened and at the end of the month, a favorite will be closing.

FlywheelOn the positive side, one of the long time empty spaces – the space that was formerly home to Blockbuster Video – has come to life. Flywheel Sports, is open and holding classes. Flywheel is a stadium style spinning workout, with classes lasting from 45-60 minutes. According to their website, the first class is free. Reservations are made online and classes hold about 45 riders. Flywheel Sports – 147 North Larchmont

Pinches serves authentic Mexican food in a space that is set up for quick serve. But the menu is full of delicious family recipes that are sure to make you want to stay awhile! Pinches is open for business and ready to serve your authentic Mexican food cravings – both on-site and via delivery. You can call for delivery between 11a-8p  Pinches Tacos – 203 North Larchmont

ChocoholicsNow for the bad news…Chocoholics will be shuttering before May 1st. The beautiful, Belgian Chocolatier has been a welcome location for a quick gift, a scoop of ice cream or a delicious cup of coffee. And, of course, chocolate! Regulars will want to stop by in the coming week to wish them well.  Chocoholics – 201 North Larchmont

  1. Curious, did Flywheel work out its zoning issues? Yes, like the Bungalow, there’s another one of those zoning issues unique to Larchmont. Something about no exercise classes on a ground level. And they’re going to need a zoning variance or ?

  2. So sorry to see Jennifer leaving. My whole family loves Chocoholics. Their product is the best. Hope to see another Belgian Chocolatier in the neighborhood at some point (maybe north of Beverly).
