A car speeding on La Brea Avenue spun out of control and into a building at 345 North La Brea early Sunday morning. The incident occurred just before 7:21 AM. LAFD Station 61 was quickly on scene and transported two patients to the hospital. One patient, an adult male is in grave condition. The other, an adult female is in fair condition. Two other patients were released at the scene. All four patients are in their mid-20s according to the LAFD.

The crash happened just north of Beverly Boulevard on the west side of La Brea. Reports are that the car was speeding, attempting to pass another car and lost control.

A portion of La Brea was closed down so emergency crews could attend to the injured. Emergency crews have contacted LA Department of Building and Safety to assess damage to the building (site of East India Grill which was not open at the time of the crash).

We will update this post as more information becomes available.
