Screen shot from security video of a car robbery that took place in the alley behind stores in the 100 N Block of Larchmont Blvd.

Security footage captures a man breaking into a car parked in the alley behind 123 N Larchmont Blvd, the former location of Z Pizza.

Steve Cohen, owner of nearby Village Pizzeria told us the footage shows, “this guy in this black or very dark jaguar reached his arm into this silver car opened the drivers side door and stole my delivery drivers money and customers guest checks!”

After removing the cash and checks from the car, the thief casually walks over to a waiting black jaguar and drives off, all in broad daylight around 5 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2016.

“I want everyone to be aware,” warned Cohen who shared the security video with the Buzz, “there’s a thief among us!”

Car robberies are all too common in our neighborhood and around the city. In this case, the car was locked and parked in the alley behind the former location of Z Pizza. But many times the cars are not locked.  LAPD advises everyone to lock their cars and remove anything valuable.
