Change of Polling Site for One Hancock Park/Larchmont Village Precinct

Polling Place Changed
Sign on door of St. Francis Room at St. Brendan Church – originally a Polling Site

Tuesday 2:30p – If you are in Election Precinct Number 9000272A and you are supposed to vote at the polling place at St. Brendan Church, that Precinct is being re-directed to  Wilshire United Methodist Church at 4350 Wilshire Boulevard (at Plymouth and Wilshire – next to The Ebell).

Wilshire United Methodist Church - 4350 Wilshire
Wilshire United Methodist Church – 4530 Wilshire Boulevard

Just a heads up…this appears to be an unannounced change. We witnessed the Sample Ballots of multiple voters – the Ballot mailed to the homes of registered voters – at Wilshire United Methodist with St. Brendan Church, St. Francis Room listed as their Polling Place. When they showed up at their original Polling site, a sign redirected them to the new Polling site.

Also, we checked on the LA County Registrar site – www.LAVote,net/locator. That site also directs voters to the wrong Polling Site.

A change of Polling Site might not be a big deal if you have a car and have the time to adjust to the new information.  But it could be a big deal if you walked, or took a bus, or tried to vote on your lunch hour.  It could also be a big inconvenience for the elderly.

The affected Precinct covers the following area…Rossmore Avenue from Rosewood, south to Beverly Boulevard; Beverly Boulevard east to Arden Boulevard; Arden south to 2nd Streeet; 2nd Street east to Beachwood; Beachwood north to 1st Street/Plymouth Boulevard; Plymouth north to Beverly Boulevard; Beverly west to Gower Street; Gower north to Rosewood; Rosewood west to Rossmore.  Or just click here for a map of the Precinct – map

If you have friends in this affected area…you might send them a text or email.

Polls close today at 8p.

UPDATE 3:30p – Just found this CBS2 News story online…
