According to Metro LA, Crenshaw Boulevard will undergo extended closures over the next 30 days in order to support excavation and decking activities for construction of the underground Exposition Station. Crenshaw Boulevard will be closed 24/7 between Exposition Boulevard and Coliseum Street on the following dates:
November 7th through November 24th
- Beginning at 9:00pm on 11/7
- Re-opening at 6:00am on 11/24

- Beginning at 9:00pm on 12/1
- Re-opening at 6:00am on 12/14
Crenshaw Boulevard will reopen without any closures during the week of Thanksgiving, November 24-30.
After the excavation work is complete, and concrete decks are installed, construction crews will be able to begin full-time underground work, including the boring of the mile long tunnel between this station and the one at Crenshaw/MLK. During that part of the project, traffic should be back to normal.
For now, the traveling public is advised to plan ahead to avoid traffic delays during the full closure of Crenshaw Boulevard. Traffic control measures and signage will be implemented throughout the closure. Detour routes have been approved by the City of Los Angeles and are as follows:
