Crime Alert: Peeping Tom Active in Larchmont Area

Not the way we like to start our week, but local residents should know that there’s a Peeping Tom active in the Larchmont area. The suspect is an African-American male, at least 5′ 11″ tall, 30-40 years old, either bald or wearing a dark cap backwards. Around 11:45 p.m. Sunday night, he stacked patio furniture to climb up to a 9′-high bathroom window at an apartment near Norton and Clinton to watch a resident in the shower.

There have been several similar reports near Beachwood and Clinton during the past week on the Larchmont Village Neighborhood Assn. Yahoo Group site. Those events also occurred around midnight. It is not clear if the other incidents were reported to the LAPD.

The fact that these incidents are ongoing illustrates why it is so important to report all crime to LAPD.  If they are informed and they see a pattern, they can put a patrol in the area to deal with whatever the particular crime is.

Please keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in the area, and report any information you may have to LAPD:
