Koreatown Shooting: Man Killed at Wilshire and Western Bus Stop

A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning at a bus stop on the northwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue. According to reports, the incident occurred just after 1:00am Sunday when two suspects ran toward the victim and shot him. Eyewitnesses shared with LAPD that the pair then ran to a black pick up truck and took off heading west on Wilshire.

The victim was identified late Sunday as Bryan Martinez Rubio, 28 years old.

This is the sixth fatal shooting in Koreatown this year.

    • We have contacted LAPD but don’t have more definitive description from them yet, other than it was two Hispanic suspects and a black truck.
