LAUSD Holds Town Hall Meeting at John Burroughs on How To Spend Money

LAUSD-LogoAs requested by the LAUSD Board of Education, town hall meetings will be held across the District to increase understanding of the State of California and LAUSD budgets, and to gather community feedback on the priorities LAUSD should invest in.

Next year, the District anticipates an influx of revenue from the voter-approved personal income tax hike that comes with Prop 30.

One of the five scheduled meetings takes place at John Burroughs on October 15th from 6pm-7:30pm.

LAUSD has a website dedicated to outlining the realities of the budget – including a deficit tracker, impact on instruction and personnel, and a set of FAQs.
