Pop Physique, the ballet barre and Pilates inspired workout program created by husband-wife team Jennifer and Deric Williams, is opening a studio in the former Curves location at 527 N. Larchmont Blvd.
The build-out is underway, Deric Williams told the Larchmont Buzz. They have opened up the bungalow space, put in a beautiful new floor and are delighted to be able to serve the Larchmont community with their popular body toning classes, he said.
“My wife and I have always loved Larchmont Village – it’s one of our favorite streets in all of Los Angeles,” Williams said. “The boulevard didn’t have a barre studio and we realized it could be a perfect location for our small family-owned chain of Pop Physiques.” There are 17 studios across Southern California and the east coast, with new Larchmont and Pasadena locations currently being opened.
Co-founders Jennifer and Deric are raising four children in LA while expanding their Pop Physique empire. They combined their  talents: she was a professional ballet dancer while he is a branding and marketing guy. Together they’ve grown the business to draw a steady stream of faithful patrons, mostly women, who want to “sculpt” their bodies into better shape.
Pop Physique Larchmont is expected to open by early May of 2015. Classes will be small, under 20, given the size of the studio. Stand-alone rates are $20/class, or $150/month for unlimited classes, but buying packages and sales offers can lower the price to $10-12 per class. The first week of operation will offer several free classes each day to draw those who haven’t tried the Pop Physique method before.
