LAPD’s Wilshire Division has a new weebly website and it’s pretty hip looking – besides providing a good amount of valuable information. Bookmark it to visit online. You can find details of crimes in your neighborhood by knowing your Basic Patrol number – click on that and it will call up a map showing location and description of crimes in your area.

We also suggest residents subscribe to LAPD’s E-policing to get emails in your inbox about crime and news specific to your address.

A brief wrap-up of some of the recent crimes in the area follows. Please note that there are dozens of theft from motor vehicle crimes and grand theft auto crimes, not listed here.

On their new website, LAPD Wilshire also shared: “If you are on the sidewalk while talking/texting on your cellphone, please be careful! We have had a few cellphone snatches this last week. Suspects target people who are very distracted with their devices.” Thieves are also still targeting catalytic converters however, this last week has seen fewer thefts and with a wider variety of vehicles (not just Honda Elements.)
