The following crimes occurred recently in the greater Hancock Park and Wilshire areas, including both the Wilshire and Olympic Divisions.
The list of burglaries from motor vehicles is long and not included here, but Senior Lead Officer Joe Pelayo from the Olympic Division told us, Â “…the common trend is unlocked doors. We can not emphasize this enough. The community needs to be aware of the danger in not locking and securing their property.”
Recent Crimes:
8/12/14, 8-6 pm, Â 600 block of N. Plymouth –Â Suspect entered the property through an unlocked window; property taken iPad.
8/05/14, Â 4 am to 4 pm, Â 5000 block of Clinton – Suspect entered the property through unlocked front door; property taken included lap top, iPad, and cell phone.
8/19/14, 7pm to 9 am, 200 block of North Larchmont –Â Suspect smashed rear widow of business removed cash, computer equipment.
8/22/14, 9 am to 1 pm, 1000 block of S Ridgeley Dr – Suspect pried open front door of residence with crowbar, removed safe, laptop and firearm.
8/28/14, 10:54 am, 5400 block of Beverly Blvd (Rossmore) theft of vehicle.
8/30/14, 4:55 am, 600 block of N Beachwood Dr – Burglary
9/1/14, 11:25 pm, 100 block of South Formosa (First St.) – Robbery.
9/1/14, 4 am, Lucerne & 8th – Robbery.

You can find details of crimes in your neighborhood by knowing your Basic Patrol number – click on that and it will call up a map showing location and description of crimes in your area.
