After an all-night move Sunday night, followed by a long day of setting up on Monday, Pickett Fences is re-opening today at its new location, 219 N. Larchmont Blvd., almost directly across the street from its former store. Â Owner Joane Hennenberger Pickett let us in yesterday to sneak a peek, though she declined to let us take a photo of her or Wiley, her co-owner and husband, who has been working non-stop for a month to construct the interior of the store, which looks great!
The new store feels bigger and brighter than the old one, thanks to the higher ceilings and lots of light streaming in from the barn-like front doors. Pickett is ready for today, even though not everything is completely finished. There are plans to green up the front of the store with lavender plants that will come as she and the PF team settle in.
