Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Los Angeles Tuesday to meet with business leaders and attend the premiere of an Israel tourism film – ‘The Royal Tour: Israel’. On Wednesday, he’ll travel north to San Francisco for some tech meetings. Then back to LA Wednesday evening for a reception on the Westside.
NBCLosAngeles.com reports that the Prime Minister and his entourage are expected to make their way east from the westside on Tuesday evening. Motorists are advised to avoid Melrose Avenue between La Cienega and Van Ness Avenue between 7p-9:30p – sounds like a visit to the Paramount Studios lot is in store.
Update: Tuesday 9:20a – more details in…
According to Andrea Ceragioli, Director of Community Relations at Paramount Pictures, the following will apply to the area around the Studio this evening:
- The LAPD will initiate temporary street closures on Melrose and Van Ness Avenues from approximately 7:30p -8:30p and again from 8:45p-9:15p.
- Melrose Avenue (between Van Ness and Bronson) and Van Ness Avenue (between Melrose and just south of Lemon Grove Avenue) will be closed during these times.
- LAPD officers will be on the street directing traffic at the Melrose and Bronson intersection and at the Melrose and Van Ness intersection.
Thanks to Paramount Studios for making this information available.
