Detectives from LAPD West Bureau continue to look for clues in the Beachwood homicide investigation surrounding the murder of Antonia ‘Toni’ Yager of Windsor Square. On the evening of December 22, 2014, Yager was found dead in her bed by a caregiver who regularly came by to check on her. The cause of death was multiple stab wounds.
LAPD Homicide Detective, Lieutenant John Radtke, told the Larchmont Buzz that the investigation is on-going. A team from the LAPD spent 19 hours on site – gathering forensic evidence and clues inside the home, outside on the property, and from the surrounding area. That evidence was sent out for analysis – which takes some time. Currently, there are no suspects in custody.
Lt. Radtke and a team of investigators will be back in the neighborhood this week distributing flyers and engaging with locals. Larchmont Buzz: Homicide in Windsor Square
It seems odd that the police have not yet interviewed neighbors. We live very close and have never been approached. We’ve spoken with other neighbors, and they also haven’t been approached by the police. It sounds like they thought there was going to be a lead, and it didn’t pan out?? I can definitely say that they didn’t investigate the surrounding areas well at all (neighboring yards, security footage, etc).
